after the ribbon cutting

minsan, hindi mahalaga kung sino ang taong nananakit sa atin, ang mas importante ay kung bakit natin hinahayaang masaktan tayo.

sometimes, its not important who the person hurting us is, what matters is why do we keep on allowing ourselves to get hurt.

a philosopher once said that man seeks pleasure and avoids pain. but how come most people has this odd tendency that they keep on lingering things and memories, that they know will hurt them. such objects and events that will make them remember someone that has long gone?

perhaps, there is just this unexplainable itch, craving to bring it back and we fall weak to resist it--- and of course, i am no exception.

but if for some, sex is such an overrated word. then for me, its moving on.

regardless who among my exes (naks plural!) is involved, i always find it easier to say that i have moved on than understanding what it really mean.

for although the chances of getting back is as blur as pasig river, its just unavoidable for us to pick up something along the streets that we have once took with someone, hand in hand. the memories still spur out, the moment we pick up something that reminded us of him/her no matter how we keep on pressing them down. and the hurt that it brings is far more than the smile it draws on our faces. then the worst of it all is that at the end of the day, we will catch ourselves asking,

have i really moved on?

Hmmmm.

So useless ang pagtatago.

Na-realize ko din na mas lalong lumalalim ang galit kapag sapilitang lumayo.

At least kapag ganito, nahaharap ko sarili kong "problema".

At least, 'pag may komunikasyon, I can torture him. Everyday.

But then again, maybe, this is HIS plan. Iniisip n'ya sigurong gumawa ng mas kahindik-hindik. Naku naku. I can also play that game

Pagpasensyahan na ang mahabnag comment. Gagawa na lang siguro ulit ako ng walang kwentang post sa aking walang kwentang blog. :D

the feeling of hurt comes from within us... all the external stuff is just a projection screen to make the pain tolerable/intelligible.

sometimes, we need to ask ourselves first, nagkaroon ba tayo ng formal closure?

i always get a little emotional when i go to some place and remember someone i've been with. it felt like it was just yesterday when i was giving the most awesome blowjob in the world at the projection room above the auditorium! etchos hihihi. i soo love your blog talaga.

We sometimes bring back the pain, for it is with our pain that we remember most.

Why do we remember?

Sometimes, so we could never feel the pain again.

it's harder when you stay single... have fun. bury the memories totally.

I have stopped trying and acknowledge that they will always be there. What the heart has once felt, it will always own... Whew!

However.. Sex is over rated.. huwell..

are you talking of bentam and his legions? baka kasi masaya ka tuwing nasasaktan ka? some people just love drama--tulad ko. lol

nice post!
yeah memories are just like that. we may (though it's hard to) take it out to avoid getting hurt when we are reminded of someone, but those memories are just too good (or the person is) to let go, we end up reminiscing and getting hurt in the process. but that's just humane.
we are sentimental beings i guess.

i can totally relate...

how can a person say that he has completely moved on?

personally, i think taht for some people, pain is the only way for them to feel alive.....

Because although memories may inevitably lead us to feeling pain and a sense of loss, for the most part, we strive to relive a moment or attempt to feel again that certain touch of a person, and it is our memories that bring us back to a special time and place of our past.

Without our memories, we really are nothing, so whether it's for pleasure or pain, it's something that we need to feel alive.

A wise friend once said...

It is easier to move on when we forget the bad past,
It is easier to forget the bad past when we remember the good times,
But in remembering the good times, we must also remember that they are just that... in the past, never to be picked up again, just to reminisce.

Just be careful that in remembering the good times, we must not put the person in a pedestal making it hard for us to replace that person in our heart.

With the long process of finding peace, we then can find another space in our heart, larger (space) than the last, for another special person that may come in our life.
